Whether you dream about being a bestselling author one day, or just want some tips to help with your schoolwork, Monica M. Vaughan will be here to help! In a presentation packed with handy tricks, tips and writing secrets, Monica will be sharing everything she wished she'd known when she first started writing.

Monica’s latest book, Slick, is a standalone novel about the friendship between a boy and an android and about what it means to be human.

It has been shortlisted for Shrewsbury Bookfest Big Book Award 2020, longlisted for the 2020 UKLA Book Award, and longlisted for Bookbuzz 2020.

“Funny, smart, and full of positive messages.” School Library Journal

Monica writes science fiction books for children and is passionate about writing and reading, and about fuelling that passion in children. Her love of technology, gaming and coding feature heavily in her books and she is especially keen to encourage reluctant readers to engage with literature. She has fifteen years’ experience in teaching (mostly with children with emotional & behavioural difficulties) and is a confident and engaging speaker.

Suitable for children 7 – 12 years old and their adults!
