Guardian journalist & BBC presenter Lucy Siegle has constantly pushed for a green, clean fashion culture. Following on from her book To Die For: is fashion wearing out the world?, documentary The True Cost and her #30wears rule, she now invites you to experience The Generous Wardrobe, a system of dressing and self expression based on earth logic, innovation, regenerative fibres and above all, generosity of spirit.

It is time, she says, to put fast fashion in the bin and rescue our fashion souls. Are you ready?  *** audience members are invited to wear (or bring) a piece of clothing they love and share the story of its longevity.

This event is one of a series called the OWL talks - part of the Oundle Waste Less project organised by Transition Oundle - which aim to promote discussions about current thinking around the shift towards lower carbon and more 'eco' lifestyles. Topics covered include decluttering, carbon offsetting, Incredible Edible Todmorden, Closing The Loop (the circular economy) with more events in the pipeline.

Supported by Nene Living, Village Connect and Transition Oundle. Funded by National Lottery Fund and East Northamptonshire Resource Management Fund.
