With a large cohort of quite outstanding musicians departing this year, our final larger ensemble concert is going to be spectacular with forces uniting for the final time. Having traipsed the county many times in search of perfect and fitting venues, we came to the conclusion that home turf will be ideal for this occasion — unusual though it is for us to perform evening concerts in our own town’s Parish Church.

Much will go into this concert, from solos to concertos, orchestras, choirs and ensembles through to the Jazz Band performing before and during the interval. The time to say farewell to these talented pupils is sadly upon us, and you are cordially invited to be a part of this wonderful

occasion. We hope to feature Bosco Wong, Zachary Boser, Henry Cripps, Ed Burgess, Alex Hill, Evan Ball, Rufus Sumner and Beatrice and Cecily Wells, although, at the time of print, we are yet to confirm definite repertoire choices and reserve the right to place some of these concertos into earlier concerts in the year! To whet your appetite, the programme will include:

Marie Lee: Bruch Violin Concerto, second movement

Ryan Law: Haydn Cello Concerto, first movement

Arianna Chan: Fauré Elegy

Ralph Phillips & Samuel Townend: Bach Double Violin Concerto

Ken Zhao: His Own Piano Concerto

Jungho Lee: Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, third movement

Ed Pelham: Mozart Clarinet Concerto, third movement
