Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start

A painfully comic evocation of a writers’ circle where members struggle with a variety of literary forms and with each other.
They meet each month in the local scout hut to discuss their work, exchange tips and seek mutual encouragement.
But closer examination of this disparate group reveals a whirlwind of love affairs, petty jealousy, rivalry and literary one upmanship.
Thursday, 30th March, 7:45pm
Stahl Theatre, PE8 4EJ
Cast: Jamie Dorman, Cillian Murphy, Charlotte Le Bon, Toby Jones
Director: Sean Ellis
A film based on the extraordinary true story of Operation Anthropoid, the World War II mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, the main architect behind the Final Solution. As the Reich's third-in-command after Hitler and Himmler and leader of the occupying Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia, Heydrich’s reign of terror prompted self-exiled Czech and Slovak soldiers to hatch a top-secret mission that would change the face of Europe forever.
‘An intelligent, tough, and gripping movie.’ Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

30th and 31st March at 8pm
1st April, matinee at 2:30pm, evening at 8pm

Cakes, cakes, where are my cakes?’ cries Grannie Hood, one of the cast members of the 2017 CATS Pantomime, Red Riding Hood.
Set in Dark Wood, the story intertwines the Red Riding Hood fairy tale with the Robin Hood fable and is set against a backdrop of a topical baking themed feud between Michelin star chef, Heston Lupus and the delectable Nigella Hood.
Come and see how Nigella thwarts Heston’s plans to dominate the Dark Wood Dessert economy and wince at the yeast addicted and cantankerous Grannie Hood. Watch as Red Riding Hood handles the charms of the Grey Wolf and marvel at the tracking skills of the Dark Wood wolf hunters.
Laugh at the hapless Marcus and Miranda as they try to scheme their way to owning their own restaurant. Join the Dark Wood ramblers as they search for Nigella’s large portions and cheer as Robin Hood and his politically correct merry men evade the nasty Sheriff of Peterborough and fight for the rights of the humble consumer.
Sing along with Alana A Dale’s awful madrigals, groan at the villager’s bad jokes and smile at Gwendolyn’s infernal cheerfulness. With twists and turns, songs, sound effects and wonderful costumes, this original pantomime written by Scott Millington, is a treat for all ages.
